Editorial Policy

Read how EventSeason Guide researches event dates, uses sources, handles authorship, and aims to publish useful, accurate content.

Purpose and audience

Our purpose is to help readers plan seasonal events with practical, accurate, and understandable information. US readers are our primary audience, with UK and Canadian guides where regional distinctions matter.

Research and source selection

For official holidays and government schedules, we prefer primary government sources. For local events, venue rules, and opening hours, the relevant organiser or business is the most appropriate source. We distinguish confirmed facts from general suggestions and link to source pages so readers can verify details.

Dates and updates

Every time-sensitive article should identify the applicable year and region. Before an annual update, editors should re-check the relevant primary source, confirm any substitute or observed date, update the visible content and metadata, and change the modified date only when a substantive review or edit has occurred.

Authorship and tools

We do not invent authors, qualifications, interviews, personal experiences, testing, or expert review. Editorial tools, including AI-assisted tools, may support research or drafting, but they do not remove the need for human verification, useful original contribution, and final editorial responsibility.

Originality and copyright

We write original explanations and planning resources, avoid copying competitor articles, attribute sources, and use visual assets only when original or appropriately licensed. Quoted material should be limited and credited.

Commercial relationships

If affiliate links or advertising are added, disclosures should be clear and placed where readers can notice them. Recommendations should be relevant to the topic and should not be presented as independent if a commercial relationship affects them.
